O'live Gin The Original

One would expect an olive-based gin to be a product that would come from Greece or France. Nevertheless, it is done by the Flemish brand O’live BV, which was founded in 2017 by Sofie Gardyn, experienced in the culinary world. The idea to create O'live Gin The Original, this extraordinary olive gin, was born in the minds of Sofie Gardyn and her business partner Kurt Suys when, during their holidays in the French region of Provence, surrounded by olive trees, growers saw with what passion they gathered and pressed their olives.

The best, sparkling green olives from French Alpilles, used for production and a wide range of provencal herbs, make O'live Gin The Original at the highest level of super natural PREMIUM drinks. The success of Sofie Gardyn meant that the desire to create grew so much that the offer was soon joined by new editions of gin: spicy, floral and alcohol-free.

O'live BV became a company whose ambitions went much further and was still eager to invent new, unique products, so she created, among others, a distinctive liqueur, elegant rum and non-alcoholic rum. O'live GinThe Original was awarded the 2019 WWSA (Women's Wine & Spirits Awards) Gold Medal at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in Knightsbridge, London. It is served in restaurants marked with a Michelin star. Distributed in France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Greece and Germany, and thanks to the cooperation of the producer and Gin Dom Poland, it also found its way to the polish PREMIUM alcohol market.

Of course, it is the Mediterranean olives that make O'live Gin The Original such a special gin. But it is not everything! Unlike most gins, O'live Gin The Original is made from corn alcohol which beautifully complements the rich flavor of the olives. O'live Gin The Original is a fully distilled gin. This means that each of the botanicals, including dried olives and juniper berries, is distilled separately. The different alcohols are then combined in the right amounts to create the unique O'live Gin The Original flavor. No additives or extracts are used to create this unique gin. Unlike most gins. The black, matte color bottle is decorated with an elegant golden inscription. Its shape, the so-called the bottleneck and cap make it look like a typical bottle of olive oil.

O'live Gin is a breath of juicy aromatic olive oil with green, vegetable notes, balanced bright citrus and delicate juniper. Its delicate but rich flavor makes it a very versatile alcohol. On April 17, 2019, O'live Gin The Original was awarded a gold medal at one of the most important wine and alcohol competitions in the world, Women's Wine & Spirits Awards at the Royal Thames Yacht Club in Knightsbridge, London. At WWSA 2019, a jury of 100 top alcohol experts rated the various spirits in a blind taste test. Alcohols are grouped by type and style of spirit, age, percentage of alcohol, and residual sugar. Based on the jury's ratings, a score was calculated for each of the participating spirits. In order to receive a medal, a certain minimum number of points had to be obtained. Although the list of participants was very long, O'live Gin The Original was one of the few WWSA 2019 gold medal winners.
